INSPIRATION / ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My Looking for Wildflowers series was inspired by a scene I had in my mind in the middle of a New England winter—a Southern California meets Cape Cod twist. In my daydream, I was lying in a field of tall green grass, at the edge of a cliff that dropped down to the ocean. Wildflowers swayed gently around me, while the sound of ocean waves below echoed through me and the sun warmed my skin. Time faded from daylight to dusk to midnight. I keep my studio free of animal products & no animal products were used in the making of this artwork.
