Bright and open, "Capture and Hold" lifts the eye into a sky full of light. Towering sunlit clouds rise over a distant green horizon, luminous and full of air.

The title is drawn from James Crews' poem "The Practice of Connection," and the painting holds that same impulse: to catch a fleeting, beautiful moment and keep it close. Originally painted in acrylic, it's the kind of piece that opens up a room and lets it breathe.

This 4" x 6" gallery-quality canvas print is one of my most elevated formats. Printed flush to the edge on archival canvas with long-lasting pigment inks and sealed with a museum-quality finish, the image runs edge to edge with no border, giving it the depth and presence of an original made to stay vibrant for decades.

Framing Recommendations:

Standard
4" × 6" frame, with or without a mat.

Dramatic
Use a larger frame with a 4" × 6" mat opening. A wider mat creates a more elevated, gallery-style look.

Artist’s Tips
Bring your print to your favorite home goods store and hold it up to different frames to see what you like best.

Since these prints run flush to the edge with no white border, and mat openings vary slightly between manufacturers, a mat may crop the image a touch. Two easy fixes: position the print so the full horizon shows with just a sliver of sky trimmed, or skip the mat entirely and center the print on backing paper in an oversized frame for a dramatic white-border effect.
